Greetings from the Native American Student Services! As you can probably tell, there has been some changes that have occurred in the office. Most notably there has been the addition of Seraphina Wall to the NASS team as Program Coordinator and my appointment as NASS Interim Director for the Fall Semester. One thing that has not changed is our dedication and support to all students. I want to invite new and returning students, staff, faculty, and community members to stop by the office as we begin an exciting Fall Semester. Ty Smith, Interim Director |

CSU visited by Dine Students
On July 2, 2004 the students of Dine College, Tsaile AZ visited the Colorado State campus. The majority of the visitors consisted of high school students and a few college bound freshmen. NASS hosted the students during the short two day visitation. The visitation first started off on a short tour of campus, which Admissions took the liberty of conducting. The students then checked into Ellis Hall and joined the CSU Upward Bound Program for dinner in Newsom Hall. Dinner was followed by the NASS presentation, which was held in the Duhesa Lounge. For the presentation fellow NASS and CSU students volunteered their time to introduce themselves and answer questions. Many thanks goes out to Beverly Morgan, Emma Morgan, Roymond Willie, and Tessa Seaboy. The next day, July 3, Dine College departed Fort Collins. The success of this visitation would not have been possible without the dedication from students and staff. Many thanks to Sherry Duffy, Ty Smith, Aaron Benally, and Seraphina Wall. We also would like to acknowledge Conference services, Dining services, and Housing services for their generous support. We hope to continue to host future tribal Upward Bound programs to visit Colorado State University.
